MK Moshe Feiglin: Kachlon Plan to Lower Housing Costs Will Not Succeed

“I always say that imitation is the highest form of flattery – particularly if the imitator doesn’t mention your name. Then you can be sure that you have succeeded,” said MK Moshe Feiglin.  “For years, I have been saying that part of the solution for the high cost of housing in Israel is to close the Israel Land Authority and to transfer the newly freed land reserves to the public. Now candidate Moshe Kachlon is recommending closing the Israel Land Authority, another sign of success for me. The problem is that Kachlon has no chance of implementing the idea and enjoying the anticipated reward of lower housing prices because his plan is not an all-inclusive liberty plan. Closing the Land Authority is not enough to lower the housing prices. The land must also be transferred to the public – including the land in Judea and Samaria,” Feiglin observed.
